Live to Ride, Ride to Die site -- sobering videos
Part of the lead-in on the site is:
A reality check: thousands of bikers will take their last
ride this year

Why is it most riders
treat their bikes like gold,
but some treat their body like scrap metal?
The following was recently posted in an email when I sent this link to the Psycle list -- I'll repeat here.
Here's a real sobering link for a nice Sunday morning. I debated about
even looking at this site, then debated about sending it onward.
But I did both and for a reason: we all need a wakeup call once in a
while to remember to be safe while enjoying our beloved sport/hobby.
Give you an example that he would not mind me passing on.
Chip recently had a spill. Still on light duty while a shoulder heals.
He was one of only a few of his group headed for Colorado who was
wearing a helmet. His helmet received damage, his head did not.
When the ride continued with the others, they all put on the helmets
that had been strapped to their bikes. It was a wakeup and they took heed.
Rick and Barbara can tell you about wearing proper gear, or not. There
are many local examples.
There are some really gory videos and stills on this site, but also some
non-gory that are highly instructive. Choose your poison but if one of
these helps just one of you (me) either avoid a crash or survive one
better, then hooray.

quick trip Vogey and I took last weekend)
Which way did they go? How many were there?
How fast were they going? I have to know because I'm their leader!
